Socialpath – Track users across social media

SocialPath is a django application for gathering social media information on specific username. It checks for Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit and Stackoverflow. Collected data is sorted according words frequency, hashtags, timeline, mentions, similar accounts and presented as charts with the help of D3js. How to install and use socialpath

First you type this below command this command will help you to download the Socialpath tool in your linux tool.

git clone https://github.com/woj-ciech/SocialPath.git

Now you Paste your API keys into backend/keys.json Remember to escape double quotes (“) in instagram cookie with in json

Once you past your cookie now install radis-server using this below command

sudo apt install radis-server

Now type this below command to install this tool requirements.

pip3 install -r requirements.txt

Now type this below command one by one your linux terminal Migrate database (run it in main directory)

python3 manage.py makemigrations social 
python3 manage.py migrate social 
python3 manage.py migrate 
python3 manage.py runserver

Now open new terminal type this below command Fire up celery (run it in main directory)

celery worker -A socialpath –loglevel=debug

After that SocialPath will be accessible at localhost:8000/search

Directory is created for each user with csv inside under /static/, for visualizations.
