Step 1:
First you have to run cmd ( Command prompt ) as a administartor.This is an important step because you are going to edit disks that require admin privileges.
Step 2:
Connect your usb drive into your computer.
Step 3:
Now you type this below command to access to manage the storage on your computer. it will take little bit of time
diskpart
Step 4:
Now you type this below command on your cmd this command will show list of your storage.
list disk
Step 5:
Now you choose your pendrive using following command.
select disk (your pendrive number)
Step 6:
Now you type this below command on your cmd. This command will help you to remove all of the data present in your usb drive.
clean
Step 7:
Now you type this below command to convert to your pendrive MBR or GPT which you want
- For Windows 7 or earlier: Prefer MBR
- For Windows 8 or later: Prefer GPT
- For any other OS: Refer to the official guidelines
convert mbrorconvert gpt
Step 8:
Now you type this below command to create partition on you pendrive.
create partition primary
Step 9:
Type this below command . This command will finally format your current partition as an NTFS file system
format fs=ntfs quick
Step 10:
Now type exit command to exit your cmd
exit
Step 11:
Now that you have successfully formatted your USB Drive, It’s time to copy the data from the ISO Image present on your PC or a DVD to your USB drive. Doing this will successfully turn your USB flash drive into a bootable Windows USB drive.
